It is better to be kind to all people, when we pass on we will all do the same thing and that is leave everything with someone else , so be kind and share your kindness now while you steal have time to do it, let the love and kindness from your heart shine and other people will see it, help someone, give some spare change and if your a Christan tell them about Jesus, just being kind will cause people to like you, it will help the way your are received by other people, being kind is a better way to more happiness and peace. When you are kind to other people, other people are kind to you. Kindness brings Kindness.
If your smart but not kind you will miss out on a lot of fun, most people like being around smart people as well as kind people when they are the same person.

It is better to exhibit kindness than to be smart. What is the point in being smart if you don't have two cents worth of common sense? It is far better to act like a decent human being. I know some people who are smart but yet so dumb. They lack wisdom and seem to be at loss because they don't have people skills. They may be smart in their profession; but if they are rude they will have a difficult time getting along with their co workers, friends and family members. What a shame! Anyway, people in general posses some kind of talent wheather it is playing an instrument, building or creating something or any thing as simple as changing a tire.

All depends upon your ultimate goal. It is better to be smart if you are in and of the world. It is better to be kind if you are in and of the Lord

Luckily, I possess both qualities, but if I had to pick one in another person it would definitely be kind. Ever talked to a really smart a$shole...not a fun experience. I'll take kindness anyday.

I don't believe those are mutually exclusive characteristics. Smart people are usually kind because they know that is how to win friends and influence people.

It's totally better to be kind. Who cares if you're the smartest person on the Earth if you're a complete jerk and everyone hates you.
