Aren't ariel fireworks...(shoot higher than 150ft into the air) more fun than normal Safe 'n' Sane fireworks.

To most people, they are. But I enjoy a great fountain just as much as I enjoy an aerial shell.

Safe and sane fireworks have their place, but they don't have the punch of the other stuff - not only aerials, but also many fountains and things.
But as with anything, be safe when using them. Done correctly, fireworks are safer than a lot of other things people do on a daily basis.

You mean arial fireworks?
Arial fireworks are way more fun. But unless you're a trained technician, you're better off just watching them. It's not worth the possible injury, of you setting them off yourself.
