It seems as though women that are older than me(even just slightly older) do not like me at all. They say cruel things to me in the grocery store like "why did you do that to your hair, that's not attractive" they tell me that I look skanky, I have a couple (husband and wife) living upstairs from me. I work with her husband, his wife and my boyfriend get along fine but when I come home she does not say hi to me or completely avoids me. My boyfriend told me that she said she doesnt like me because of the way I "look" what is that supposed to mean??? Younger girls like me a lot and want to hang out with me but older women HATE me it seems. I'm not extremely attractive I'm normal, I'm 135lbs 5'8" I've never said anything to any of these women.. they just say comments to me that hurt. Is this just the way people are and I'm taking it too seriously? Any comments or suggestions? I dont care if they are rude but it would be nice if they are nice. thanks

Thanks guys. I know one day we will all get older and not look like we used to when we look in the mirror. Let's just try to be happy here on earth while we are here, and love others:)

You go to a beauty parlour and they would tell you why u look weird to other people. if nothings wrong, i guess those women are jealous of you. may be their husbands like you.

I think it;s more of an issue of them feeling intimidated by you or the way you look. Some women dont like me either and I think it's because I'm very straight forward not in a bad way though. But that kind of attitude attracts guys cause they think it's funny when I just ssay whats on my mind instead of acting all girly and stuff. Anyways yeah people get intimidated when they meet someone different from them, I say be yourself and hey why not try saying Hi to taht girl instead of waiting for her to say Hi to you, if she responds then good if not then hey thats her bad at least you did your part =).

Don't worry about it sweet-heart. If people don't like you before they even get to know you, then you probably wouldn't like them any how. Be the way you like yourself, clothes and hair, make your self happy. When the right people you need as friends come around they wont care about such things. And this is from an older women than you. Just be polite( no use being like them) and go your own way.

It seems like they are just jealous of you, it could be your looks, your body or even your boyfriend. Try being overly nice to them, kill them with kindness! Give them compliments about what they are wearing or something. Be the first to say Hi to her, maybe your just to shy and people take it as being a bi*#h. That happens to my friend alot, she is very shy but the nicest person you could ever met. but people think she glares at them or is too stuck up to talk. Totally not the case. Start conversations with them, talk about something you might have in common. Let them get to know who you are, then they will start to like you. If not oh well, be just as mean back. at least you tried. you shouldn't care what other people think anyways. Good Luck

How old are you? First of all, people who like to criticize tend to not be happy with themselves. Don't worry about the comments that they make. Love yourself for who you are. How do you dress? You'ld think that older people would learn not to judge others by their looks. Are you happy with the way you look? If you are don't listen to their comments. Tell them, God loves me the way I am that's all that matters. I used to worry about other kids making fun of me growing up in JR. High and High School. I made the wrong choises and mistakes just to impress people that I wasn't going to see for the rest of my life. If they don't like the way you look or dress, tell them to buy your clothes and maybe you'll try it. Take care and don't let it get to you. Ignore them.

It's not you. Women are conditioned to see each other as competition. Women are constantly attacking each other and degrading each other. For example, nobody in their right mind would dare comment on how a man looked in the grocery store or anywhere else. Yet, women are constantly barraging us with their opinions, comments and judgments. It is not you. It is the nature of being second-class citizens because of our gender.

Younger kids think you look cool and maybe look up to you and want to look or dress like you. They have grown up in an era where you look normal to them. Older women are used to s different "normal" and you are obviously not it. They may view you as a punk kid who has not grown up yet or is disrepectful. No matter how they feel, it is wrong of them to say things like that to you. I would never say something like that to someone even if I did think they looked wierd.

see what you need to know is that .... how people important to you feel about your style. And first of all be confortable with yourself. Try to resolve the problem with ur beau.
and remember everybody is beautiful it's only the matter how u see the thing
those old aunts may be jealous of u, but do treat them as their saying don't affect you

Its instinctive. They may see you as a threat (Read: Men will see you as attractive).
Don't take offense, IF you dress like a hooker or have a lot of skin showing they may think you are. Other women generally don't like hookers.
Regardless, be friendly, take the high road, be civil and live your life.

My wife has the same issues. They are jealous of you for looking good, so it makes them feel good by putting you down. Don't let them give you a complex.
