Ha the idiot with the first post who says all players who come overseas suck... Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Yao Ming, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Andres Nocioni, Boris Diaw, Tony Parker, Pau Gasol, Dikembe Mutombo, Raja Bell...There's almost as many good International players as American players... Anyway, Andrea Bargnani could go either way. There wasn't much difference in talent between the best eight picks anyway. There wasn't an obvious choice. But Andrea to me doesn't seem like a great fit... they already have Chris Bosh.

I would have preferred Morrison myself, but by all accounts Bargnani was extensively scouted by the Raptors. Apparently the Raptors people attented over 30 of Bargnani's games so I assume they know what they are doing (I hope).

Good choice-yes. Great choice-no. Adam Morrison should have been the #1 pick. The guy is the next Larry Bird. He'll average 20 a game next year with Charlotte. Why does everyone draft on potential anymore? Potential doesn't win games. Ability, basketball sense, and drive win games. GM's, coaches, and scouts look at potential. Whatever happened to trying to improve your team now? It makes more sense to me.
