If you're able to budget yourself wisely, you can enjoy both places. It's entirely based on your opinions whether you would like them or not. I've been to both Singapore & Malaysia & enjoyed myself there...

Sad to see so many stereotypes about Singapore recorded here. As one who has visited both countries many times I would suggest going to both countries. They are neighbors. You will find the Moslem culture of Malaysia fascinating with its beautiful mosques. It is much less expensive than Singapore, and its capital, Kuala Lampur. is a blend of the modern - the Petronis Towers and old- the marketplace. Singapore is a clean and modern city that has the world famous Raffles Hotel and Raffles Mall. It has a new cultural center with world famous performers and Sentosa Resort is just a short bus ride away. Its nighttime safari at the zoo is the best I have ever encountered. And yes it has a red light district if that appeals to your prurient interest. The reputation for draconian laws is grossly exaggerated. It is a splendid city- a paradigm for all of us.

This question is a matter of personal opinion, naturally, and I won't cloud the issue with some of the positives or negatives of either country (I have enjoyed all the countries I have visited bar none); however, I will say if money is an issue, Malaysia is a much less expensive country to visit.

Malaysia is better than Singapore in terms of food, shopping, scenery...etc. Even Singaporeans also come to Malaysia for shopping due to the low currency exchange. There are so many places to go in Malaysia, here are some of them:

Landmarks:
- Petronas Twin Tower (KLCC)
- National Mosque
- KL Tower
- Museums
- etc

Shopping:
- Suria KLCC
- Mid-Valley
- Bukit Bintang
- etc

Beaches:
- Tioman Island
- Redang Island
- Kapas Island
- etc

Eateries:
- Hotels
- Mamak restaurants (open 24 hours)
- Night Stalls
- etc

And the list will go on....

I nonetheless like to circulate to Singapore despite if it small than Malaysia. even though, in ten years time i think of Singapore will extremely have a project via its small length and Malaysia would be lots greater proper then. For the interim, in case you desire to adventure a different lifestyle this is close to Singapore. circulate to Manila. that's a Christian united states with eu, American and Latin impression that's unique in the different countries in ASEAN. figuring out to purchase is heaven and events are incredible. such a brilliant number of wonderful ladies and hunks that are fluent in English.
