Don't hold back tears.

However, if crying in public or among co-workers, some might see it as a sign a weakness.

Crying among friends shouldn't make you feel bad. Only your true friends will give you a shoulder to cry on.

With that being said, you don't want cry among anybody too often unless very sad occasions call for it - death, a new baby (TEARS OF JOY), You lose a whole lot of money etc

One technique of crying ( letting your feelings go) is at home alone. Movies & Music make me cry sometimes. As you get older, the younger generation needs stronger elders - so a brave face in times of sorrow can be very important too.

I feel studying various acting techniques that deal with crying can be theraputic. I admire actors who can cry on cue. They are excercising their tears ducks - this is good for your eyes.

It is a widespread belief in the western world that crying is therapeutic and also the converse, that failure to cry is a danger to our health. Randolph Cornelius (1986) systematically analysed the content of popular articles on weeping in the press from 1850 to 1985 and found a major theme was that crying was considered an important means of releasing physiological tensions; if it wasn't released, it would find an outlet in some other way, such as affecting the person's body and possibly causing disease. 94% of articles recommended letting tears flow.

Actually yes. Crying can be healing, rejuvenating, a tension buster, a stress reliever. I am not saying to cry at everything, but sure everyone will cry sometimes whether in public or in private. Not always because of sadness either. Men should cry more, as not allowing oneself to cry can cause major health problems in time. Crying can be simply a way of releasing one's emotions, either sad or happy, that have become overwhelming inside.

OF COURSE WE SHOULD!

Aside from the obvious, such as losing a loved one for whatever reason, I cry when I watch a sad movie, I cry when I see someone achieve something they've worked really hard for, I've even been known to cry over a really good advertisement. Airports are a weak place for me too..I cry when I watch people saying goodbye, I cry when I see wonderful reunions.

I'm no good at having a good cry while I'm going through a hard time myself at the moment though. It's unhealthy & giving me stress wrinkles.

I've been crying for about two months straight. Ever since my boyfriend moved away, and got in the accident. He had to be put in a drug induced coma, because he was in so much pain. I haven't stopped crying since, eventhough he is out of the coma, and is back at his house. But his house is about 1200 miles away from mine. I need a hug. I just started crying all over again.

I Cry

Sometimes when I'm alone
I Cry,
Cause I am on my own.
The tears I cry are bitter and warm.
They flow with life but take no form
I Cry because my heart is torn.
I find it difficult to carry on.
If I had an ear to confiding,
I would cry among my treasured friend,
but who do you know that stops that long,
to help another carry on.
The world moves fast and it would rather pass by.
Then to stop and see what makes one cry,
so painful and sad.
And sometimes...
I Cry
and no one cares about why.

cry for good reason. A baby cries to let you know that it disapproves of something because it cannot speak, adults should only cry for certain reasons.
Crying is the equivalent of "losing your cool" and screaming and yelling. Crying should only happen when you have no control over it.

Don't worry, even if you don't want to cry, life will give you many chances to cry. Life is not a bed of roses dear, you will be forced to shed tears many times. We all have experienced that. So keep smiling till then.

A myth of not crying for real men in all situations is not healthy. It can be a sign of depression if it is often for little reason. Check with your doctor if this is a re-current problem.
