I heard horror stories, so it is making me hesitate. Sites like www.paypalwarning.com and others are urging people not to sign up because they can freeze my account for no reason... sounds like a big headache. But what other alternatives are out there if I want to transact in ebay?

I have been using PayPal for about 5 years now, & have not had any problems. I have a business account, & they mailed me a debit card to use on everyday purchases (like gocery, gas, etc). I get 1.5% back on all items I buy with my paypal card & I get intrest on my average montly balance every month. If you want, you can have them overraft money from your bank account! Say you ave $3 in you paypal account, but you go to the gas station (which will be about $30). If you use your paypal card, they will just take the $27 out of your bank account (like you used debit) & still give you the 1.5% cash back on the whole $30! It may not sound like a lot, but if you use it all the time, then tose few extra pennies ad up!

I've been using PayPal for years with no trouble. I am just irritated when I accidentally bid on some eBay item that doesn't accept PayPal. Sending a check is so inconvenient...

Paypal has a "freeze now, ask questions later" when it comes to freezing accounts and their chargeback policy is a haven for scammers. Avoid them if you can. Use something reliable like moneybookers instead if you can.
