So my mother gives me a red and a blue sweater for Chrismaka. So I go upstair and try on the red sweater. As I'm coming downstairs to show her what a good boy I am for trying on her gift she says in a stereotypically Jewish high whining voice, "Whaz's wong with the blue one!" What did I do wrong? How could this have been avoid?

Pizzaguy913 so far gave the best practical yet funny answer. Sadly though most people did not get this was a Joke. A friend of mine used to do this skit for us and it was absolutely hilarious. His impression of a guilt projecting Jewish mother became an instant classic. Guess you had to be there.

It's couldn't have been. Tell her she's being silly, and what would you rather do?

After being saturated with that kind of thing I stopped feeling bad about anything they said unless I'd actually done something I thought was wrong. It's at the point that I make fun of them when they start angsting.

Use your moral compass, not theirs. They'll get over it.

Next time tell her you will try on both red one first though. Tell your mother to calm down!
