Actually, the US only has about half that many, but some are far more powerful than you say. The real issue is that Russia still has around 15,000 and that not all are officailly accounted for.

Why not ask yourself the question why the States always opt for a hide-and-seek approach to all matters of domestic as well as foreign policy???
All my e-friends in the States seem to be blissfully forgetting that there is a whole world out there, and that US is NOT the centre of the world...
People drugged by too much food, too many TV hours, too much boredom.
ASK yourselves, guys - is THIS thing worth being called a "LIFE"???
(As for the nuclear heads - oh my, just the top of their iceberg)

We have nuclear warheads right in our back yards and people don't even know they are there. It really is bs that the US can have nuclear power plants and warheads but the rest of the world can't produce nuclear energy or have missiles. The fact is they aren't hidden at all. Look in remote places where you see a gate and armed military manning the gates. Chances are there are missile silos there. PEACE

We've had tons of nukes from the Cold War. The government's not hiding it, just not advertising that now. Watch WarGames, great movie involving nukes.

We don't that is how u are able to ask questions like this one. russia has more and they dodn't know where all of them are. If we didn't have that many some country would get silly and try to use one of thier nuclear wepons on us but the thought of us sending one or 20000 back at them makes it where they have to keep dreaming of blowing up one of our cities

Now that we’re not the only one with the bomb, the only deterrent we have against the treat of a nuclear attack is the assurance of mutual destruction.

If I was you, I wouldn't be worried about the 20,000 warheads the U.S. has (if that is true). I would be concerned with the ONE Iran has. Since that is more likely the one you will see fired.

according to nuclear nonproliferation, we are reducing our number of nukes, and i think the number is closer to 10000. We keep some to defend ourselves from radicals like Kim Jong Il.

Clearly they don't "hide the fact" since you know.

Since this is obvious you must know that the statement you have made (that they "hide the fact") is untrue.

In other words...YOU ARE A LIAR!
