It doesn't matter to me. I would have to say, however, that the best bosses I have had thus far, percentage wise, have been women.

A boss is a boss no matter the gender. Both a male and female boss can be a pain in the a_s. The attitude of the boss is far more important than the gender. Some what to make you life hell and others can be very nice and helpful people. Probably their is a lot more of the first type.

A male boss. I had a female boss before who was biased towards the opposite sex. It's HORRIBLE, I don't care what anyone says. The one guy who said something about periods was on the DOT!!! She was sooo unprofessional. The male bosses do not do this and are not biased either. If they are it's rare. I'm not saying that all females in a leading role at work are bad, those are just a few of my experiences. I would love a female boss to break the stereo type in my mind.

Male boss. I've worked for about 15 female bosses and 5 male bosses. I far prefer males. If you're doing something wrong, the male will tell you and tell you what to correct. They usually are quite blunt. The female won't say anything, but will just give you a bad performance appraisal so you have no chance to correct your behavior. Females want everybody to like them so they tend not to confront those they supervise while males enjoy using the power they have and don't care if you like them or not only that you do what you're told.

Female boss. They're usually a lot more aware of what's actually happening out on the floor, unlike the male bosses that sit in their offices all day long. Females know how to manage their resources, and yet still know how to treat a worker on the floor. (most of the time)

Female. I wish all bosses were female. They sure now how to appreciate a hard working man. Men can be jealous. Plus, I can't have sex with a male boss and get promoted. Oh wait ... maybe I could.

Some woman bosses have been really good some not so much. I've worked in the horse industry for years and it's odd to see a man - heance the majority I've worked for have been woman.

On the whole I'd say I'd rather work for a woman than a man - depending on the occupation.

I'd rather work with a boss who is fair, reasonable, and competent.

The gender can be important only when there is something wrong with the way boss treats his or her subordinates.

I've worked with a boss who sexually harassed some of his female subordinates. And his gender was definitely important in the way he behaved.

it does'nt matter if your boss will be a male or a female... Don't be scared if he's a male or she's a female.. People are different.. Your boss can be your friend.. But when your on duty your boss will still be your boss.. (",)

I would prefer to work for a female boss in issues of emotionality - ie. time off, sympathetic needs. I would rather have a male boss for clarity of assigned tasks.

Males are less moody. Okay what is this 'parc' about you can be your boss's friend. Oh puhlease people grow up, a boss is a boss. You want a buddy call your schoolmates. The quickest way to lose your job is to suck up to the boss and let em know your personal business. It is just like being arrested, everything you say can and will be used against you. It's a dog eat dog world, your job is just that YOUR JOB. Save the buddy 'parc' for after hours.
