If it's important to ware sun protection even on cloud days can one lay out to tan even in an over cast?

Yes you should wear sun block even with cloud cover. The harmful UV rays penetrate clouds.

well you can get sunburned on a cloudy day b/c the sun's rays go straight thru the clouds.. so i guess it is possible to get a tan on a coudy day. But it depends on what makes you tan... the sun's light and heat, or the it's uv rays!!

Tanning is a sign of sun damage, so you don't EVER want to lay out to tan.

wear sun protection but it's best on cloudy days because the suns harmful rays are being blocked scientifically proved

You can get a sunburn on an overcast day. You should always use your sunscreen.
