Depending on what you like to do is the main question from myself. SO if you like crafts make crafty things and wait until the craft fairs come open after school starts in sept-dec on weekends. You can make alot of different things. Look at what the instyle and colrs are and make bracelets, earrings, necklaces that sort of thing. Also you can make things with yarn and material like blankets and scarves. There are many things you can do. If you like to cook have a bake sale type thing in front of the house. Or if you live close to a bunch or people that need help with yard work or even helping someone clear out junk. Talk to your parents but maybe go around the neightbor hood telling people you would like to do a yard sale and need donations and see if they are willing to get rid of things to you. go through your own things and sell a few things. then sell your cookies and or buy a couple of 12 packs of pop or some bottle water and sell those as well. You never know what you can do unless you try. there are many books out in bookstores and libraries for young entrapuneauers. you can do many things. And good luck to you. My experience at 14 was I was into making plastic canvas things and was and still am very good at it. I ended up selling around 30-40 christmas bear tree toppers in the colors they liked for 10.00 a piece.

In many states, you cannot be formally employed before the age of 15 or 16. Check your state guidelines. If you can't, you can always do:
a paper route
mow lawns for others
shovel snow in winter
offer a dog walking service
babysitting
housecleaning
