They have cut down on vehicle emissions and they can't mandate that only hybrid cars be sold because we live in a capitalist state where the manufacturer can make what they feel will make them the most money.

Hybrid automobiles are something new and cost a lot more than a vehicle that is not hybrid. I don't think the hybrid is the answer to our fuel problem - it is kind of a quick fix. We need more research to find a way to minimize out dependence on foreign oil.

For does have a hybrid explorer, however the creation of hybrids is industry pushed. the human beings who care approximately gas monetary gadget (and are prepared to pay the top rate for a hybrid) in many situations will choose gas useful vehicles. making a vehicle a hybrid particularly gets its city milage to an identical point as highway, so a 18MPG highway/12MPG city SUV that is going hybrid turns into sort of an 18MPG/19MPG vehicle...stilll no longer very eco-friendly. This autos will purely flow hybrid decrease than 2 situations: one million. Federal regulation mandates it (the two quickly or by way of way of gas monetary gadget standards). 2. gas gets so costly that hyprids' decrease gas costs stability the better prematurely cost (gas could ought to get to approximately $6/gallon for this). One final element, F150s and different "artwork trucks" are often offered by way of funds concious small companies (shape, landscaping, and so on.) who've little urge for nutrients for any variety of greater cost. luxurious passenger vehicles are probably to flow hybrid first.

Why haven't we stopped buying cars until the auto companies produce better ones?
Because we are gullible and programmed by years and years of advertising and marketing research into what emotional buttons (our lizard brains) can be pushed to make us do stupid things. Since we elect the government, the result is inevitable.
Two words: Consumption Tax.

What are you going to do about recycling the batteries?
So far there is NO means to recycle them and they cause more of an environmental issue.
Besides, Government is not what controls the population. the population controls the government. Not everyone wants a Hybrid piece of JUNK....
