I noticed some cultures practice believing that dark-skin is a bad thing
they say you look good despite your dark-skin - not saying every1 in the paticular culture is like

If you are looking for the cultural historical perspective, there are some really good books on the origins of racism. But to sum up my own experience as a white person growing up in the south, i have noticed then whenever someone experiences something profoundly negative, there's a tendency to feel like it was "on purpose", and that there was some person who had it in for you, or something similar. Naturally one tends to look for such imaginary enemies in groups that aren't "like us".

The first major fallacy here is that over half the time, the negative experience is no one's fault in particular -- life just sucks sometimes, and it's hard to accept that it's your turn. The second major fallacy is in assuming that one can impute intent to an entire group of people. I work with this black guy. He happens to be an idiot. But I don't think all black people are idiot because of that. Besides, he's not as much of an idiot as HIS boss' boss, who is white, which sort of disproves the rule anyway.

It's very difficult to accept all the confusing permutations and nonsensical crap that life dishes out -- it's much easier to "simplify" things, but the problem is that it only FEELS like it's right, and only if you get your jollies off blaming other people for stuff.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

And if I said I liked tan skinned females, would you call be a racist. If the girl I think is the hottest girl in the world happens to be black and that is part of her appeal, would you call me racist? You know the truth is that we all have the three basic colors in our skin, so everyone has the black pigment and everyone has the clearer pigment, so what's the deal? Take off our skin and we're all the same basic lump of muscles and gunk. I am glad you know this.

Lots of people are pretty vocal about their preferences. Black, brown, white. Fair skin freckles, burns, and ages quicker than dark skin. Blemishes show more on white skin. My cousins are mixed and and have gorgeous skin.

When people hate because of skin color they are sick and should seek a cure. That goes for dark skinned people, too.

because it goes back into the past. Most people were taught that black skin was dirty and stinky. They were also taught that the color black was wicked and white was pure. take a look and all of the definitions in the dictionary that has the word white.

I am a fair skinned black girl and so is my nephew. In fact he is mistaken for white. I would love to have dark skin and so would he. We both think it's beautiful.

i do not think EVERYONE hates dark skin. i am muslim and i believe we are ALL equal. my husband is arab and darker complected and i am white as a ghost. my grandmother always used to tell me if u cut open some one we all look the same inside. i think it is more how u are raised that makes a person ignorant to hate others for what they can not help. there are nasty people in every race. there are good in every race.

There are some who think white = pure. So dark means bad or evil.

It's a sick thought and that is why there is so much racism in the world today.

It's learnt behaviour. People have been told for centuries that black people are inferior. So that's a cultural thing that's very difficult to get rid of. When you stop to think about it for one second, you realise how very stupid racism is, but some people won't even grant themselves that second.
