From the strict diet of flies and other various 'junk' that fish eat it is almost impossible for a fish to get diarrhea

Are you going to ask if they get the stomach virus that we tend to get every year?

No. They won't get diarrhea. They can, however, become constipated.

And yes, fish can burp and fart (just to ward off any other strange questions about the bodily functions of fish).

yes. We used to take frozen peas to attract fish when snorkeling, but later learned it gives them diarrhea. And we no longer feed them at all. Especially after I got bitten twice at a popular snorkeling beach, by fish who EXPECTED swimmers to provide food.

YES!! POUR THERE FOOD IN A LID OR OUT OF THE CONTAINER DIRECTLY INTO THE FISH BOWL. DONT HANDLE THERE FOOD THAT CAN CAUSE THEM TO HAVE DIARRHEA.
