I get them really really bad to the point where I miss at least 1 day of school a month for them. I either curl up in the shower with the hot water or I push on my lower stomach hard or I get a heating pad and taking Aleve or Tylenol helps me. Midol doesn't work for me.

I take two midol and put a heating pad on my abdomen. The midol will take about 10 minutes to kick in, maybe longer. Eat some chocolate (seriously!). Warm drinks and a warm bath also help. If they are unbearable, you might need to make an appointment with an OB-GYN, it could be fixed by going on the pill.

Yes i do get cramps during my period and they can be very painful. normally i take tylenol and most of the pain will go away for a couple of hours. Or check with your doctor, i heard that some girls take the pill to stop cramps but i'm not so sure...

when your sleeping sleep on your side i think its the left side that makes it better...something about the way the body works and how things flow.
if you are having the type that make it to where you just lay there in one spot cuz the pain is so intense then you are able to tell a doctor or even a school nurse and they can tell you where to get pills for it...some are at a local store most are at the doctors...i used 2 differnent types both WORKED....

the things you eat and the more excersise you do believe it or not actally helps lessen to cramping.
good luck lol

Period Cramps are just one of those wonderful assosories to being female.

You could try a heating pad, take a hot bath, or Ibuprofen. If they are that severe, I would go see your dr. he might be ble to perscribe something stoonger to help.
