The US government doesn't spend much, if any, money on those who are sentenced to death. It's the state governments that spend all the $$$ since the majority of those sentenced to die are sentenced in accordance to state laws.

You mean like for food, medical care, etc? Are you saying we should execute people immediately, and then somehow send whatever money we might have spent on them to some deserving charity?

Get real.

Or visit the Innocence Project, so see how many death row inmates have been exonerated of their crimes.

Death Row inmates are valuable property of The State. Lawyers make huge $ out of the deal. So they stretch it out as long as possible.

Because the people who are in charge are spinless. They are so afraid of what their voters will think, that we have to continue to spend $30,000 to $40,000 per death row inmate every year.

I say execute them now, lets end the victims and their families suffering.
