I'd rather listen to my running dishwasher than listen to country.

Well, I'll agree to an extent. Modern country music is commercialized, generic, worthless, and totally devoid of talent. However, if you go back to the good 'ole days of Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, you can have yourself a grand old time.

I'm guessing that you are probably 12-18 yrs old. I didn't like country music when I was your age either. After you get a bit older, it kind of grows on you.

Not hate, just the lyrics are so, so, like: I fried my grits and my, ham, but I never did see my man, I cried and I cried, and my eggs just fried, now I'll never get over my man.
Actually, I did like Johnny Cash when I was at a ****-kickin bar about thirty years ago, and he was at Fulsom Prison, performing a show for the bad boys. lol

I personally don't hate it. Every genre has good and bad songs. It's just some genres tend to have bad songs a lot more than good ones. *cough* country *cough* rap *cough* What a nasty cough. Seems to be going around.

i only hated it because everyone else i knew hated it. after i got older and got these country channels on my tv i became curious. i randomly clicked on one of those channels and watched it. for about ten minutes. i liked it. i thought, what's wrong with it? its music just like any other type of music. the artists are just as good as any other artist. they use intruments that may be different than what youre used to, but they are still entertaining. and just like rock and rap and latin music, there are too many types to count. there's bound to be one song that you like out of the genre. i'd love to name one for you to listen to, but sadly i haven't listened to many country songs myself, and i regret that. i guess what im trying to say is, you never know until you try!

What they call country, nowdays, sure isn't much to shout about. I quit listening to the top 40 country radio stations, long ago.
