It depends on you really. I am a comic film lover and I would say yes it is a good movie but for someone who doesnt know about the Superman films (specifically the first one released in 1978) there might be references and parts of the film you might not "get" due to the fact that they tie directly back to the first movie. Will that make the film less enjoyable...truly I cannot say. If you want to see a good action film then check it out!

its pretty good i saw it tonight at the imax, w/ some parts in 3D
it has good action and plot outlines. but it started off kind of in the niddle of the whole franchise, when thier hasn't been a superman movie for about 25 years
