I will be an adult in approx. 3 hours. My parents did not plan a party or anything for me, so what is something fun I can do with my best friend? I don't want to waste my special day :)

Thanks for all of your suggestions! I have decided to take off to the coast with my friend, party all night long at the beach, get a room (I will be old enough to get one!) and come back home saturday, early enough so I dont miss work though! :) Any more suggestions are still welcome.

just have a FUN day. do whatever you guys want to. don't worry about anything. have a great meal, go buy something you wouldn't usually. act stupid, go to a field and play loud music and dance your *** off. PARTY!
hell, you're only 18 once, so have a kick-*** time.

Congratulations on turning 18!
Some suggestions;
Clubbing- You can get in to (more) clubs now! celebrate it.
Get a Piercing/ Tattoo- You're now old enough to sign for yourself! And it would be a (semi)permanent way to remember your special day
Go to a Casino- Gambling is legal for you now.
Go to a Fancy restaurant with your Bestie- Just something special to remember.

Were you expecting a party to be thrown by your parent? I think you should let on that you feel this way, and work something out with them! Sometimes us adults get blank with the amount of things to handle: it's possible they forgot! So, why not find out, and give them the opportunity to share in this!

well go too a beautiful beach and party it up with all your friends, make new ones, get loaded, makeout with a complete stranger, burn a picture of you ex, sing a christmas carrol as loud as possable, watch re-runs of southpark, eat cheese popcorn, go get a dr pepper slurpi, goo hooker hollering, and spend the day laughing..!! see this is what me and my best friend are doing..and shes turning 16 in approximatly 3 hours.

Depends on where you are and what time it is. Do lunch, go shopping, a good movie, the beach, what fun things do you like that you could do? Shame on your parents.

get drunk! that's what i did for my 18th (and my 17th, and my 16th, and my 15th, and my 14th, etc. hahahaha, what a loser I am.
celebrate however you like to celebrate. waste your special day? you have a whole life of special days ahead of you... even if you have a terrible birthday.... i spent mine sitting on the floor in the dark by myself chugging from a 60oz bottle of rye.
soon you will realize, i am sure, that birthdays are nothing but a constant reminder of how close you are to death.

take your best friend into a very special place and make it a day you both will not forget for the rest of your lives....in twenty thirthy years your parents will be gone...your friend will still be there and that is good
