you are able to chat on yahoo messenger or any other of the messenger programs, but yahoo answers is a forum not chat.

No You can post a question as you have done now and get replies if some one cares too. Since you already know about chat rooms and it is in abundance do you want to convert all rooms as chat rooms.

the chat section is in another part of yahoo. yahoo answers is just for asking and answering questions.
