I kinda meant what could have killed you and didn't, like close calls.

Weird question. Hard to answer really. I've actually died before, but was brought back to life. Do you mean things that you avoided that could have killed you, or do you mean got so sick or injured that you were on the verge of death? Well anyway, I was in a car accident in which I rear ended another at 70. The sudden impact stopped my heart and killed me instantly. I woke up 2 days later in the hospital. Luckily there was an emergency services vehicle at a store right beside where the accident was with a defibrillator on board or I'd be outta here. Guess that's pretty close.

103 degree temp as a baby.

1 head-on collision. The other guy fell asleep, hit me head on, and drove me backwards up an embankment. I had whiplash and was lucky that was all.

1 side collision. I must have blacked out while driving~I was told that a delivery van smashed into the side of my car; my head took out the passenger window, and she pushed me about 500 feet into a church yard (!) They said they found me in the passenger side of the vehicle (and I always wear my seatbelt) and I don't remember anything until they were loading me up in the ambulance. The car, a PT Cruiser, was totally demolished. I've been told that what saved my life was that the PT Cruiser is built like a bubble. I really don't know how I didn't fly out of the window and get smashed between the door and the front of the van. It was broad daylight, I don't drink or do drugs, and don't remember a thing about it, even now, and that was in November '04. I had some memory problems (just now resolving), so I assume I had a concussion from window vs. head. Yeah, I checked myself out of the hospital like a big dummy. I do remember a cop making me sign something in the ER, and the stupid lab tech insinuating that I had alcohol in my system. "You better tell me now if you been drinking, I'm going to find out!" What an a$$. I do remember telling him to take every last drop of blood if that would satisfy him. Man, that peeved me off. He just assumed I was drinking.

Who really knows? 1,000,000? But the one time I was aware of happened in my own home. I live alone in a 2-story house. I fell down 16 stairs in my home when I passed out at the top of them. Woke up @ 6 hrs later. Called for help when I realized that I had nearly cut my nose off my face due to the fall. Later found out that I had fainted due to blood loss resulting from a tubular pregnancy. I didn't have a clue! Well, I had a near-death experience while I was under the knives(both ends), and now I fear death no more! It was a surprisingly peaceful experience!!

Only once completely. I had thyroid surgery & my heart stop on the table twice, they used the paddles to shock my heart & I was fine.

Now for the funny story. I was having surgery that I was given an epidural for, so I was awake & talking to my surgeon. ( I have a heart condition so they did not want to put me to sleep ).
He was expaining that he was cleaning the area, and now he was going to make the cut. A nurse walked to the other side of me at that time. He reached with the scapel & the alarm started sounding & I could see the flat line on the monitor, my surgeon was cussing up a storm about he had not even made the incision yet. I was laying on the table not speaking, thinking oh my I have died & gone to hell. I hear cussing, I am looking up instead of down, and I felt really hot. About that time the nurse that moved said I am sorry Sir I unplug the machine with my foot when I walked by it, I had huge splotches on my chest because it scared me so bad. It was 5 mins. before the surgeon wanted to start again. He said it almost scared him to death, you know with insurance rates & all. He was really funny.

3 times. One was a suicide attempt. One was a mental break down where I almost killed myself by cutting my forearm through the tendons. And the other one was when my father started throwing me into walls because he was angry. He then threw me into a towel bar and when I stopped moving and couldn't get up he threw me into an icy shower, I was 3 years old at the time.

I was in an serious accident. That was once. I don't know how many times I came close in the hospital, but it was more than once. I'm still here. I have a reason to be here. I still have to find her. If you're reading this, I'm ready for you.

I have the best story,
I was head over heels for a man that did not love me. We were just friends but i wanted it to go a step further. Remaining friends he moved to another place on the island but was also transferring schools. I was at the shyest point in my life and did not have enough courage to ask him for his phone number. So we went our separate ways and i just fell off the face of the planet I was soo devistated that i just did not want to live anymore, I had planned on killing myself a few days later on a Saturday when no one was home., I was gonna take a bottle of 800mg motrin from the dentist and slit both of my wrists horizontally. That would do the trick.
But this song came on the cd i was playing to drain the sound of my screams and it was called hold on by Good Charlotte. I snapped out of everything. The whole song was about holding on and not giving up, But i was just soo far fetched about killing myself and dying that i wanted to die and as the song went on it said to hold on. People all bleed the same way as you do. Your nights are cold and lonely and your days feel soo long. Hold on don't give up. The whole song was telling me not to give up and there is a life out there waiting for me. So I STOPPED.

The secound time i tried it I was in love again with a man, And he liked me too but had a girlfriend that he kept from me. I ran into them in the store. Holding hands and walking together. I had been friends and tried to date him for over 2 years. We would flirt back and fourth and talk to one another all the time until i caught them together.
I was again devastated by that and it felt like everything was happening all over again so I went home cried for 3 days non stop and played that song for 3 days straight and woke myself up. I drained every tear out of my eyes, to the point that they were burning and my face was swollen.
But I got over it and am now in a relationship and am very happy, This one loves me too, Its hard when you are teenager in the world and feeling like your lost. No one to run to. Theres nothing you can do but go on and make the mistakes yourself.
But happily an adult I survived through it!
