With all the controversy around them right now ( Italian soccer's match-fixing scandal) which really affects many of the players on the national team since many of them play for the team mainly targeted "Juventus" and with all the indictments going on right now and trial.... Plus to top it off they found out during a press conference about Australia that there was a suicide attempt by the team manager of Juventus.

"A former Italian star, Gianluca Pessotto was in a critical condition last night after jumping from his office window on Tuesday."

With all the bad press and hard times they are going threw they somehow have managed to emotionally push threw and succeed. I heard that the "foul press, etc" has made the team really close.

they seem so much more sportsmanlike and more humble and you got to luv them when their captains will joke with the captains of the opposing teams while both teams wait in the tunnel.. I mean how cool and friendly is he. Fabio Cannavaro rocks.

Good weather, fantastic food, warm culture.

If we're talking about their World Cup team, it's because they're dramatic, so they're fun to watch. They're style is very operatic, really. They have to get knocked around a bit so they can get mad and really start playing. Or they leave the fans on the edges of their seats until the very last second, literally--see the Italy-Australia game.

you misunderstand me....go back and read my question again...then tell me where i say anything about the penalty not being legit, or anything about being an australian fan, or anything about australia running circles around italy, or about the red card being just...because i didnt say any of those things, in fact, i disagree with all of them, because the penalty was legit, i prefer lots of other teams over australia, italy outplayed them and if it wasnt for the red card would have scored, and that red card was crap, it maybe should have been a yellow, but definitely not more. so...learn how to read.

Because when they win due to a questionable referee decision everybody hates them. And when they lose the same way nobody cares.
