That would be so awesome to fly, but look at what happened when people were allowed to drive. Do you really want people to fly? (The answer should be no!) People are stupid while driving: using cell phones, eating & drinking, putting on makeup (for girls), watching tv (if you have a tv installed), not using signals, not wearing seatbets, etc... Need I say more?

But to mainly answer your question: I think there would be less pollution, because all we would be using is ourselves. Unless there were skyway rules, there would be chaos. Planes might disappear, unless they wanted to keep them to give people a rest. We might actually be able to visit places a lot quicker, too.

If people could fly...we would do little walking. There would be Olympic flying games....

Dodging, diving, speed, ect.

No more bikes, or motorcycles.

We would have harnesses for our young who cant fly right away.

No more cars.

It depends on the distance we could fly.

If in an hour we could travel lets say...300 miles, and it was safe, and our exhaustion was minimal, then that would be worth the effort.

However, if going 100 yards tires us out, then flying would not replace much.

there would not have been the 9/11
there wouldnt be need for a car and the materialistic **** that goes with them
we would be more dependant on the abilty to fly rather than walk
our o-zone would be fine
and there wont be a need to waste money on airline tickets, pass ports and airline fees
prices of oil and petrol wouldnt be rediculis
and i would be flying home tonight rather than october.

People can fly. It is called an airplane and it would cause (does cause) more international comerce and allow wars to become world wide conflicts instead of border clashes

Looking at the way people drive I would have to say it would be a disaster. People would be falling out of the sky because of "space rage".

WELL THIS DOES NOT TEND TO GO WELL WITH ALL THAT IS GOING ON, IF PEOPLE COULD FLY IT WOULD BE DEVASTATING TO THE "CIVILIZED" WORLD. WE, THE HUMAN RACE, ALREADY BELIEVE TO BE SUPERIOR ABOVE ALL OTHER ANIMALS. IF WE WERE TO FLY WE WOULD TOTALLY DOMINATE EVERYTHING, THE WORLD WOULD BE OBLIVERATED. WE ARE ALREADY A VIRUS TO THE WORLD. ALL OTHER ANIMALS ADAPT TO THEIR ENVIRONMENTS, WHILE HUMANS MAKE EVERYTHING ADAPT TO THEMSELVES. WITH THIS THE WORLD WOULD END MUCH SOONER THAN EXPECTED...

They would discover even more ways to pollute and destroy and damage the other creatures with whom they should share the planet, but don't; because we think we are the ultimate in creation and create belief systems and myths to excuse any dispicable thing we want to do.
