I also Verizon DSL and have been having a lot of connectivity issues lately (however I think it's from all the floods destroying lines in this area of PA). For me I usually just wait it out and it eventually comes back on several hours later, but I usually have to do a power cycle first. To do this, find your modem (it's a square box near your computer that usually has lights saying Power, Lan, DSL, stuff like that). Then unplug the power and the cord going into the port that says "Line" and count to 45 (some do it to 30 but i like to give it a little extra time), then plug both in. If you continue to have problems call in for tech support.

You can call the tech support(I have verizon dsl) they have a program where they can share your screen with you..the tech can move your cursor around and everything(kind of freaky lol)..my tech helped me figure out my firewall(it was acting up) and some connectivity problems. You can ask him or her if they think that doing the screen sharing program would help-that way they can see what the computer is doing you dont have to explain it.

Why dont you try this out. A guarenteed solution. Back up your data, format and reinstall the OS and start fresh new. Install verizon and everything should be fine. Any viruses, spyware would be cleaned automatically.
