I was a true 'View' watcher for years and I will no longer be watching one of my favorite shows... Most due to the fact Meredith has left, Star WAS fired, and ABC and Barbara seem to have betrayed the truth... but, my BIGGEST factor was the hiring of Rosie O'Donnell!!!!!! She will be the ruin of this show. I don't like her obnoxious, loud, opinionated, and verbal stabs. She seems to think her was is the only way (and I don't mean her sexual orientation). I truly hope that ABC looses its audience for this show, which are, for the most part, female viewers over 40... that's me. I am a 58 yr. old married, white female, retired after 33 years in corporate America. I have communicated thru e-mails to ABC, The View, and all their 'hosts' with no replies. I can only wish Joy and Elizabeth the best... but watch their backs too. Even though Star has been noted as a 'diva', no one deserves the way this has been handled. I did watch Larry King to be more informed and feel Star had a right to leave 'her way'... and not be 'attacked' like she was by Rosie...

I liked what Wanda Sikes had to say about the show...those women need a timeout. They 're talking over each other. Makes my head explode. Shhhh!
I'm the wrong person to ask. I didn't care for the show before the changes...now add Rosey to the mix instead of Meridith...oh brother that's some switch. Two East Coast loud mouths! The only hope is that they class up the vacancy left open by Starr Jones...

I like Rosie, but she tends to dominate. My guess is that her and Joy are going to try and "out schtick" each other. It's gonna get pretty loud and I wouldn't be surprised if Ms.Walters regrets her decision. She tends to get flustered when the show gets loud or risque. The View is supposed to be just that-different viewpoints.Rosie &Joy are comediennes, white, close enough in age, native New Yorkers. It seems they could have made a more interesting choice.I believe the show will go downhill from there.

You just never know...When Farrah Fawcett left Charlie's Angels, everyone predicted doom. When Suzanne Somers left "Three's Company" , same thing... both shows did well. Some shows havent been as lucky when losing members of their shows...like John Ritter's "8 Simple Rules"... it might be enough to shake up the cast, and people will begin to watch that havent before, or it could be the end...we will have to stay tuned to find out.

I'm thinking that The View will limp along for a while, and then just give up the ghost.

I believe Rosie Odonell is gonna sink the show because alot of people don't really care for her anyways. What was Barbara Walters thinking when they hired her?

Crap, I thought that show would be cancelled after watching the first episode! The fact that it is still on is proof to me that Oprah must like it!
