Al Gore, Condi Rice, & Collin Powell are not going to run under any circumstances. Hillary & Kerry will, but neither will get the nomination, FOR SURE! Both have a reputation for being extremely liberal. It doesn't matter if they really are or not, it doesn't matter if democrats think they are or not, it ONLY matters if swing voters & republicans think that, and they do. The democratic party is smart enough to learn from the last 12 years of losses & to take advantage of republicans pissing off their base. As such, they will nominate a moderate outsider, and I don't mean little "m" moderate, I mean great big ole almost republian moderate. Someone liberals can hold their nose & vote for because he's better than another republican, but that will clean up with swing voters & maybe even get a few disgruntled republicans as they swing back right. If they don't nominate someone just like that there's a very good chance they hand the election to the republicans AGAIN. If you want a name, I'd think Bill Richardson is the smart choice.

Now, I think republicans are equally smart, they want to get back in with their base congressionally & don't like winning elections with accusations of it being stolen. I think they'll try to put up a slam dunk candidate like Rudy Guliani. Again, he's far more liberal than most republicans, but they can hold their nose while the "hero of 9/11" cleans up with swing voters & a few democrats.

The biggest thing in nominating someone is not to pick someone that gurantees every voter on the other side will show up at the polls. You have to put up someone the other side won't freak out over, but that can still excite your side & not piss off your base too much on key issues. Rudy is almost outside that description, but if he's balanced with a more conservative southerner (regional balance too), he'll walk over the top of anyone on any side. Lay ya $100 that's how it turns out.

confident they are in a place to run as long as they have the money and petitions to place them on the poll. (richard nixon ran for president like 3 (1956, 60, sixty 4) circumstances till now finally getting elected). presently there are in basic terms 2 human beings interior the U. S. who're over 35, and local born electorate who won't be able to run for the workplace of president in this election or any upcoming presidental election (invoice clinton, and george w. bush considering the fact that the two have fulfilled the constitutionally allowed limits on presidential words (except one will become a vp and then replaces the president for 2 years).

Neither, it will most likely be a moderate Democrat. Probably John Edwards.

He looked good against Cheney in the debates and he is the preferred candidate by those wanting to jump off the Bush bandwagon (or so the current polls are saying). It's likely he will pull in most the the votes because most Americans are moderates, not Liberals or Conservatives.

Neither one. The dems need to win so look for a new approach. There are several relatively unknown possibilities: Mark Warner, Evan Byah and Barak Obama.

yeah... Edwards has a good chance... and he's from the south, which could really help with the leading Republican candidates that are very moderate and from the north and far west...
