I want to get ready, but it has been three years since I had taken any math. This is a 4 credit course, not aimed at economics majors, but business ones.

Two years of high school Algebra should be enough, but for a thorough understanding one year of Calculus would be helpful. Look at the course prerequisites. That should give you your answer.
