My oldest son, when he was like 3... running down the hall at church, waving his craft in the air..."Lookit, mommy! I made thith for you, Happy Mother's Day!" And just recently, same son replying to my email that I was sending Moon Pies to him at his base in Germany (he's in the Army) "Mom, it's gonna really piss me off, if you're sending them priority... You KNOW you can't afford it! You need to think of yourSELF for once, and not others all the damn time" Oh, and in '99, when I was fighting for my life in a coma, he tried climbing into the bed with me, imploring me "Mom, PLEASE don't die! I'll do all my homework, an' get good grades, an' do my chores, an' feed the cat..."

My son who's now 4, basically approximately 2 years in the past, i replaced into ill with a chilly. advised him I wasnt feeling reliable, and that i replaced into going to place down on the settee and we ought to demonstrate screen cartoons together. He went into his room grabbed his pillow and his blanket off his mattress, and got here working into the residing room. And mentioned "right here mommy" with a huge smile. It replaced into so candy, I cried and gave him a hug and kiss. To this present day, each and every time I dont experience reliable, my son seems after me. i think of its via fact I shield him and carry him whilst he gets ill. Its astonishing what young toddlers can do.

When my youngest was 3 (now 21) and I were watching the Grammy's one night he looked up at me with his big brown eyes and said "Mommy when I grow up I am going to win a grammy just for you! And I am going to tell the whole world on tv that it is for my mommy!" Well, he doesn't sing much any more but he does act so maybe I get the nod fo the oscar.

Soooo much my kids have said and done over the years that I can't remember all of them without taking hours or days to do so. I just remember the most recent thing my 20 year old daughter wrote to me in a handwritten Father's Day note on spiral notebook paper that she tore out: "I am honored to have you as my father." Wow. That could send tears of joy pouring from a loving father's eyes, all the way down his cheeks. Thanks for the memories. God Bless you.

I'm not sure if it's the sweetest but it sure was cute. One day I was at the grocery store at the check out with my son at the time 4 and he said to the man standing behind us, "why are you looking at my mommy's butt?" and he was immediately embarressed. I said Corey, don't say that and he continued repeating "but he was mommy, he was".
