A lot of companies do, but you should check the paid holidays policy to see.

If your company chooses to pay holidays, theen you get time and a half. You might want to make sure they consider July 4th a holiday though.

It depends on their holiday policy, but most due give holiday pay and straight pay or time and a half for working a holiday.

Depends on where you live. You won't get any extra pay on July 4 in Canada.

(Sorry, but my pet internet peeve is websites etc. that assume everyone visiting them is American. It's called the WORLD WIDE Web, folks!)

My hubby's corp closes down on 7/4 and gives employees a paid holiday... monday though is another story.... closed down and no pay (making it up with OT tomorrow)!

Most do, Some even pay double time. However some companies dont pay overtime to part time employees.

My employer pays time and a half for Monday but we are not working on Monday.

i work for one. they pay 8 hrs holiday plus however many hrs you work that day.......
