I just saw her on Larry King and I didn't even know she was leaving the show, let alone that now she's mad at them and they're mad at her. What happened? Who did/said what to who?

Star is a born again Christian, which would not be a good mix with Rosie O'donnell (an open lesbian), who is being added to the show. So to kept the fireworks from happening, they told Star they would not renew her contract.
Additionally, her approval ratings (oops is that something only presidents get?) are low because of her over the top wedding, and the effects of her dramatic weight loss (people prefer her fat).
Star was very hurt by this, and told the audience that she was leaving, and that the direction of the show was changing. She didn't tell Barbara Walters she was going to do it.
At the end of the show, Barbara Walters threw a hissy fit and told Star that she couldn't come back.
I don't like the view, and don't have strong feelings for Star, but I do think that she got the short end of the stick on this one.

Here is the real answer...
Star ate her way off the show. You see Barbara and the other women had their breakfast ready in the back and while they were getting their makeup done Star came in and like a Hoover Vac, sucked up their food. This was not the first time it had happened and star had been warned several times before but her stomach controls her mouth so she did what she does best and ate their food.
Sidebar: When Star is talking that is not really her voice or her really talking, what she is actually doing is burping. She has developed a way to control her burps to sound like words. Pretty gross if you ask me, but then again Star is gross!!!

First of all Starr and Rosie O"Donnell got into it live at red carpet about Starr's weight loss. Starr said she did it naturally and Rosie swears it was the Lap Band or something! Then when Meredith announced she was leaving ,they hired Rosie knowing Starr and Rosie's past! Starr has been on the show for 9 years and Barbara didn"t give her the heads up! Barbara"s made at Star for blurting out on Wed. show she quit with no notice it was a shock to all! Barbara feels betrayed and so does Star!

They chose not to renew Star's contract because of her making the website to promote all the companies to DONATED stuff for her guests' gift bags at her wedding. Some say that it also had something to do with the fact that they hired Rosie O' to take Merideth's place and she and Star are not each other's number one fans. They were slated to announce Star's exit from The View today, Thursday, but Star took it upon herself to shock everybody by announcing it Tuesday. She told (I think) People Magazine, in an interview, that she was essentially fired from The View. She was scheduled to leave The View, sometime in July, but since her antics Tuesday, they asked Star Wednesday not to return to work.

star was fired 2 months ago because she was advertising products on the show to get her wedding for free then Barbara Walter's fired her and then star went on the show and said she wasn't coming back anymore and Barbara got mad and said she was fired.

She's a DIVA who thinks she HOT S*H*I*T now that she lost all the weight, married to Al and now that Meredith left shes out of the picture. Her & Rosie O'Donnell don't get along at all politically!
In my opinion she looks TERRIBLE. She looks VERY OLD with all the weight loss. That or it was her makeup.

Barbara Walters fired her after she pre-maturely announced she was leaving on Tuesday. She wasn't supposed to do that, and Barbara got mad. My god, I am a dork for knowing that.

she said in public that she is leaving the view without telling anyone before hand and the view just hates her {i am sure they already did ;) } but she thinks that she is better than the view but the view made her.
