...you go to bed late. I know that you are suppose to get at least 8 hours of sleep but lets say u go to bed at 2 in the morning and wake up 8to 10 hours later. Is it still effective like it would be if you went to bed at 9 or 10? If u r confused about my question feel free to contact me. Thanx!

It's still okay, but it messes with your internal clock. You'll want to go to bed later the next day as well. This is more commonly true as you get into your mid-twenties.

I've heard that 1 hour of sleep before midnight is better than 2 after midnight. I'll tell you, after changing shifts from 8 - 3 to 3:30 to midnight, but i still sleep the same amount of hours, I can tell a difference. Go to bed early, and you'll feel great. You can do so much more if you wake up in the morning than if you wake up in the afternoon

It has been said the hours of sleep before Midnight are more refreshing than the hours after.

A child or young person needs more sleep than an older person due to the development of their bodies and minds. An adolescent needs between 10-12 hours while an adult needs around 8 hours.

It would have the same effect. They recomend 6 to 8 hours of sleep but didnt say at what time of the day or night so it should have the same effect.

Consistency is important. Our bodies do better on a regular schedule. Think about what is natural. I think our bodies are still programed to do what is natural...hence the saying, "Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise."
