Can I write a check for U.S dollars from a Canadian Bank Account to be drawn in the U.S?

Yes You can. Since Dollar is the currency in Australia and Canada etc you should specify US dollars like say US$ and the write the amount.

Yes, you have to write "us" after the number and where you write the number in words write US dollars after the sum.

Kalimerah,you need a US money order ,much simpler go to your bank they can do it simple.
