It's possible and i know there may be a million emotions going on however people have an a right to be happy. No one deserves to be verbally abused. My own parents were very verbally and physically abusive to each other and kept sticking it out until the police kept coming over to our house- now that may be extreme case for you but a divorce was the best thing that ever happenned. When they were divorced they were actually calmer, more content and best of all no police visiting the house. It was rough right after it of course but they needed to end their relantionship. People who stick together "for the children;s sake" are selfish, because it always hurt the children- my parents spent more time fighting than with me.
Anways, the point is that no matter what happens if they do divorce/seperate it is proably for the best because verbal abuse is only the starting point things can get worse. I would also recommend Dr. Phil's books, he has pretty good advice for mending relantionships, etc. Don't forget to take care of yourself though, focus on your goals, school, etc. Stay strong and have faith.

It is better for YOU if she does leave him sweetie.. you should not be raised around that kind of abuse, and PLEASE be mindful that you do not end up in a relationship just like it when you are older. Do not worry, because somehow all things in life work out just the way they were supposed to, even if you don't get it now, WHY.

This is not your job to fix, NOR can you do anything about it... it is in your best interest to stay out of it, or ask your Mom if she is planning on leaving your Dad, and let her explain her answer. Either way, both love you and you will be ok!

I hope the best for you in this situation and yes, if I had to guess, she sounds as if she's getting ready to go. I don't know for sure, but that's why you need to ask your Mom. :) Be well dear... and remember .. it's honestly and truly not your fault!! No matter what!!

She probably is. we have to do things in life... to stay happy. No one else will make us happy. your mom staying with your dad wont make you happy because she will be miserable.

Its up to you to carry on in life and try not to meet someone and have the same kind of relashionship.

Good luck.
