I know someone that parks in front of a house in a residental area almost every week day. He carpools with someone on the block. It is not illegal, however the homeowner took the liberty of speaking rudely to him, so he continues to park there. Frankly I think that he should park in front of the house of the people he carpools with. Right? But because he was spoken to rudely he continues to park in front of their house.

It has gotton to be a big deal I hear. Some are now starting to park their cars in front of this house to prevent him from parking there which doesn't accomplish much since there is still a car in front of his house.

I think that some people who live on this street for a long time and are friends have unspoken rules which new people when they move in don't know about.

I personally don't know the man. But if someone came up to my car and swore at me I wouldn't like it.

I don't think he can tow it. It has to sit there for at least 24 hours I would think.

I would not consider it wrong, but I would consider it being rude on his part. I agree with you when you say he should park in front of the people's house that he carpools with. It would be more considerate on his part. He is probably being stubborn by continuing to park in front of the other persons house because he was spoken to rudely by the owner. I'm sure if they acted grown up about the situation and talked it over, someone might learn something.

I think your right. He SHOULD park in front of the carpool house.
If that neighbor gets angry enough he could give him a warning, to park elsewhere or he will have his car towed.

All the person needs to do is leave a note on his windshield, to warn him.

If they guy is STILL disrespectful, he may come home from work one day and find his car has been towed.

It's not cheap getting your car out of the pound.
I'd bet he'd stop after that.

I think to park in front of someones house everyday without permission is VERY rude and to continue to do so even after the home owner has mentioned his "unhappiness" with the situation? That is sooo beyond rude! Obviously the guy has power and control issues.

It would be more polite to park in front of the house of the person he is riding with. although it being a public street and he may not be breaking the law it would keep peace between neighbors. Therefore he may not loose a ride to work at sometime over this issue.

if it's a public street he has every right to park there. however, it is rather rude and he should park in front of the house of the person he is there to ride with.

as far the person being rude to him-i'm sure he's just upset and frustrated with seeing this car parked there all day.

He definitely should park in front of the house of the people he is carpooling with. But on the otherhand, i support the fact that he is carpooling and taking environmental issues seriously.

Truthfully speaking, I live in Brooklyn and we go by the saying, "First come first serve". So, there you go. That's why there is a such thing as garages and parking lots, for those who need their own space. Also, no one owns the streets and frankly they know no matter how much they kick and scream, there is nothing they can do about it,so go ahead and PARK!!!!

Are parking spaces limited,? Does the neighbor have a driveway?, if not I think he should get to park in front of his own house. But he doesn't own the street.

i think the guy is just causing crap for himself, I believe he is doing no harm but if the homeowner is getting angry then maybe they should swap sides of the street. if there is one happy camper then everyone is happy
