i'm having a project on knowing what to put in a travel kit.

Toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, q-tips, deodorant, mouthwash, first aid kit, lighter, tweezers, mini scissors

I travel a lot. This is what I carry in my travel kit:
toothbrush/toothpaste
a mini bottle of shampoo/conditioner
lotion
a razor/shaving cream
face cleanser
nail clippers/tweezers
deodorant
q-tips
These are the basics. When I travel by plane I carry this stuff with me in a carry on bag so I can freshen up on the plane. I also pack something to read, moist towellets, tissues, a few snacks, gum, a notebook, pen and my camera.

Toilettries: toothbrush, toothpaste, facewash/soap, moisturiser, sunscreen, lip balm, wet wipes, and a small spray bottle filled with mineral water and 10 drops of lavender essential oil - for relaxing, calming and in case there are situations where you need things to smell good.
First aid: plaster, gauze, alchohol wipes, antiseptic, aloe vera, anti-diarrheal tablets, antacids, panadol.
Necessities: a change of tee shirt, and clean underwear, and a small towel.
Information: a phrasebook in the langauge of the country you're going (if they don't speak English), phone and address of the hotel you're staying in, and relevant maps.
Admin: your passport, travel documents, wallet and camera.
The point of this is: if you lose your luggage, you should be able to survive on your travel kit for a day.
