Go with the 3rd dress. It's sounds fun and flirty. What do you mean by sexy? As long as you aren't hanging out of it, then it's fine. Sexy can be classy if done right. I would have gone with the gold, but since it's the wedding colors I'd stay away. As for the color black; I've worn black to the last 4 weddings I've attended. It's just a color. I have never been spoken about badly, looked at negatively or been asked to leave. In fact, I've received the opposite reaction. I have been complimented about how nicely up together I have looked. If I were getting married, I would be offended by someone wearing black. Black is a flattering color. Also, I understand that not everyone wants to or can afford to purchase a new outfit for my wedding or anyone elses. So, if a black dress is what's in their closet, then OK. As long as it appropriate in it's style and not too showy, it's OK.

You can't wear white to a wedding... no question about it. Its the bride's color for her big day and its disrespectful.
As for wearing black... its a matter or personal taste. Traditionally it isn't a colour appropriate for a wedding which is supposed to be a joyous event. Black was traditionally worn at a time of mourning... such as when someone died.
I personally wouldn't recommend wearing black to a wedding but if you like darker, slimming colors then try a navy blue or royal blue... they are really striking and alot of celebs are wearing dresses in these colors right now.
Good luck!!!

Personally, I don't think it matters that much. However, traditional etiquette says that no one but the bride should wear white and you shouldn't wear black unless it is a black tie, art deco wedding.
I think the most important thing to remember is that this day isn't about you, it is about the people getting married. Ask them if they would mind you wearing black or white. If they don't care, do what you want. If they do care, respect their wishes and pick a different color.

Black to a wedding is a major no-no, unless it is a D/s wedding, or a gothic wedding.Black is acceptable for black tie weddings only. White is also off-limits; it is reserved for the bride. Cream, beige, burgundy........something like this is acceptable.

Well, I was pretty offended when a whole family showed up in black at my wedding...I'm sure they didn't mean anything by it though! As a respect thing, I'd say no black or white....unless you have colorful things to accessorize and compliment it!

You can wear black if you want to, but not white.
If the wedding is outdoors during the summer, you might not want to wear black, though, because it will make you hotter and sweating at a wedding isn't good.

These days pretty much anything goes. Dress for the weather (if the wedding is outdoors) and the level of casual / fancy, but don't worry about color.

Well, black is usually what you wear to a funeral. And for most guys the wedding is the day their freedom dies. So go ahead.
