What kind of truck and hauling do you want to do? Van, Auto, Step deck, Heavy Haul, Refrigerated?
In my experience no matter what I or anyone else tells you will much matter. I might like one company and how they treat me as an employee, but you might not. My husband and I heard terrible things about SCHNEIDER for years and never would go there. Then through a series of events we wound up leasing our truck through them. There were probably other companies that would have paid more, but we felt like we were in the right place for that time in our lives. It was a great work relationship, and if my husband hadn't been severely burned while we were off for a few days 2 years ago this week, I believe we would still be leased to them.

It depends entirely on what you are looking for in a company. How much experience you have, how much do they pay, what benefits do they have, what's your home time, etc. One thing about trucking companies, they are basically the same, they just have a different phone number. Research and find the company that best suits your needs. Good Luck and safe trip driver.

Wal-Mart pays $70,000 plus per year and very well maintained trucks. And also just think of all the benefits and you can even have a schedule where you can be at home on weekends.Wow at the options.

UPS, DHL, FedEX... those are local. Try Yellow, they do a lot for Home Depot.
