It is great between equals. However it encourages slavery and unethical business practices in cases where it isn't between equals.

In essence globalization helps the business owners and investors in well off countries. It slows economic progress in countries that aren't well off as owners and investors get to dictate too many terms that they shouldn't have available to them. The only way to correct this situation is to get better laws into 3rd world nations, which owners and investors don't want and, under most of these free trade agreements, have the ability to stop. Or to remove those protection here in the US and let americans be hung out to starve.

Millions of different products are produced in 3rd world nations and shipped to America. Most of the workers making those products aren't paid enough to buy one of the products they make, whether that be roses, batteries, or cars. We are not doing them a favor.

I never liked the idea for a lot of reasons. I've always believed that when it comes to government, smaller is better. Like in a small town your vote means more and you know more about the people who are running for an office. I think the U.S. is too big and I used to admire European Country's because they are rich in so many different cultures but those borders seem to be breaking down. I mainly don't like the idea of anyone or thing having that much say or power over global things including the U.S.. Imagine if the wrong people got into positions of leadership globally. Just my opinion.

Globalization is a terrible thing. Back in the earlier days of this country (USA), there was a group of men who got rich off investments. They organized, in order to combine their money and make some major investments. when the first Continental railroad went through, they financed it. Over the years these men spread out all over the world becoming richer and richer. Of course those original men are dead now but their legacy lives on. You won't see these men's names in the who's who lists. they stay invisible. They control the worlds money. They try to control governments. They're doing a pretty good job of controlling ours. They are now the world bank. They have created wars to further their own agendas. They are now trying to scatter people from all countries. to different countries. Who do you think is pushing for amnesty for 12,000,000 illegal aliens and 60,000,000 guest workers over the next 20 years? Telling us that we need the high tech workers while recruiting our high tech workers to India. This to equalize pay and economies throughout the world for a global market and currency. There have already been agreements signed by this government that hardly anyone knows about that hurt us badly. By the time these money manager's work is through they will be in control of the major countries of the world, including ours. Globalization is very, very bad.

I think once we move past the growing pains it will lead to understanding, tolerance and a previously unknown ability to communicate...which is all good...it'll take some time, and in that time bad things will happen, but at the rate we're growing on this planet and with the technological advances we're seeing, it's an unstoppable trend...

I gained't examine all of that for this style of dialogue board, sorry. besides... the international is dealing with a intense monetary disaster delivered on through intense trust in the U.S. dollar. did you do not ignore that about 3 years previously the so-observed as housing disaster, the U.S. authorities gave $a million billion to a Hong Kong monetary company that become threatening to opt for out of the dollar in favor of the Euro? Did you also do not ignore that Saddam Hussein and the authorities of Iran both did the unforgivable: They heavily threatened to commerce oil in Euros. nutrients for concept.

Both.
Like everything there're pros & cons. Without it, a nation will not develop economically, politically, culturally.
With it a nation stands a chance of losing its identity, overpopulation, cultural differences/ riots, etc.
Depends on how you look at it to be honest.

it is good in every sense of the word. it means the whole world can act as one . countries are now closer together.
an example is the Internet , like what we are doing now, we can communicate although we may be at the opposite sides of the earth. of course it also has a negative effect since every action has an opposite reaction, like terrorism is global.

Globalization is key to world peace. People coming together will be able to understand each other. Job protection should not be ignored.
