Yes, in fact I am a costumer and one of my clients is a show choir and last year I organized the backstage area so that 22 boys could change from jeans and t-shirts into a full out tuxedo, dress shirt, pants and tie in .....drum roll....28 seconds. Oh...and at the same time, 22 girls changed into crepe dresses. And we won first place in two national competitions. I love fast changes because it adds an air of magic to your show.

Here are the best tips I can offer...
1. Under-dress. If possible, layer your costumes so that you are removing items and not having to put them on.
2. Hang your items on hangers in the order they will be used. Make sure that all your skirts, dresses, shirts, etc. have the zippers, buttons, fasteners open yet 3/4 of the way closed. That way you can easily pull them over your head and still finish closing them in seconds.
3. Ask someone to be your dresser. Your mom, a close friend or someone that is familiar with the rigors a dancer goes through. They will be backstage, ready to put you into the next costume. They'll hang the clothes you take off, zip zippers, undo fasteners, and remind you how amazing you are.
4. If you are able to chose and prepare your costumes...velcro everything...Shirts with buttons-add velcro to the underside..the audience will never know the difference...skirts-velcro the waistband...shoes-velcro the buckles.
5. Label your stuff...use glow in the dark pens to label your stuff to avoid confusion.
6. Clear boxes...check Walmart for clear boxes to hold your gear. You can easily see your stuff without it laying all over the stage.
7. MY MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE: Some of the best performances have been done in the nude...just kidding...but while a costume can definitely enhance a performance, it can't take the place of skill, determination, and sheer talent.

Hey break a leg...I bet you are awesome!

I danced professionally for 10 years as a folk dancer. We did dances from around the world (Hungary, India, Mexico, etc.) There were always fast changes with many layers of petticoats and skirts. The best thing to do is take a chair or table and lay / stack the costume pieces on it. Make sure the first item you need to put on is on top. If you do it right, you can take each thing off the stack and put it on in the correct order. Have another chair where you put the costumes you are finished with.

Also have a small container of safety pins and hair pins that are ready to go. I always had everything I needed arranged and ready to go, including props.

I would find some large zipper type bags or some gift boxes like are used for mens shirts and keep all of the pieces for each costume in its own bag or box. before you get started make sure that each bag has the oufit, shoes, jewelry, accesories, etc. then label them and stack them in the order that they will be needed. practice changing and making sure that you can quickly put what you are taking off back into its bag so that you can keep it all together to the end. get a maneagable sized tote or basket to keep all of the boxes or bags organized together in and carry them around in

Try stacking the folded costumes in order that u need them. That way, u just grab the one @ the top and put it on, when your finished with the costume, stick it in either a duffel bag or a paper bag. Hope it works!

A hanging cart on wheels with a zipper bag that you can put a small padlock on...or... a lightweight trunk (again on wheels or rollers) that you can lock or secure. That way everthing stays together and, if you chose the trunk-you can toss costumes inside, lock it, and straighten it out later.

I would get one of those rubbermaid boxes with the compartments in them..or if you go to the kids bedding section they have these little drawers(about the size of a college refridgerator)..you could put them in there-make dividers lable the boxes that are made from it...the rubbermaid ones that Christmas ornaments go in or something like that.
