i have some jpegs and can't open them.....when i try to open them in windows xp default program i get a red x and nothing appears
are my jpeg damaged?? is there anyway to repair them?

make sure the file extension is there. For instance, the picture just cant be called picture, it has to be called picture.jpg. Thats really the only thing I can think of. Try opening it with a different program if that doesn't work.

Open it in a different image program and save it as a .bmp. Then re-open "using" your preferred program and save it as a jpeg.

Every time a jpg file is copied, it looses bits. It may very well be that these files have lost too much information to be processed. Just guessing though. Good luck.

Try saving them as .gif.
