what are some good disneyland rides? ( california )?

I suggest that you plan things out utilizing the fast pass system (VERY important for the popular rides)

Daytime
- RUN to splash mountain, do it FIRST! AND get a fast pass
- wait for FantasyLand till later (when all the small children get too tired and they go home)
- you must go on Story bookland (the ride with Monstro the Whale from Pinocchio) as it closes early (it's near the Tea cups)
- Toontown also closes early, (but only the Roger Rabbit is worth the bother unless you REALLY want your picture with Mickey and Minnie)
- Haunted Masnion (there are fun things to see while waiting in line, like reading the clever names written on the tombstones/ crypts that you can't see at night)
- Jungle Cruise (its hard to see at night, but you can go several times with different guides, they all use different jokes)
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride (it goes up and down up and down up and down, kinda makes me sea sick) :-Þ

Anytime
- Indiana Jones (a DEFINATE MUST!)
- Space Mountain (find the cookie! an asteroid looks like a chocolate chip cookies)
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Tikki Room (go when its really hot or you are tired, its a sit down show and lasts for approx 15 minutes AND its air conditioned)
- Aladdin's Show (relaxing for small children who get to sit on the floor and participate, it's a cute show)
- Star Tours (ride a shuttlecraft!)
- Honey I Shrunk the Audience (3-D glasses used for this show)

Nighttime
- matterhorn (prettiest at night, it glitters)
- autopia (you're just driving a car, so the night makes it slighty fun :-Þ )
- get a spot in front of the castle to see Tinkerbell "fly" from the matterhorn to the top of sleeping beautys castle, just before the fireworks begin.

** little known fast pass fact
once you get a fast pass for a ride, you can not get on the ride until that appointed time, however you CAN use your fast pass ANY time after the time stamped on it. for example: if it says to return between 3:35 - 4:35, if you miss your time cause you were too far away, you can save the pass and use it at 9 at night!!!

My favorites Space Mountain, Matterhorn, Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, Roger Rabbit's Crazy Car Ride, Gadget Go-Coaster, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Star Tours (I love that one), Pirates of the Caribbean (and they just added Johnny Depp's character from the movie in the ride, too)

All of them are great, it just depends what you are looking for. The Orange Stinger is one of my favorite, it is just fun. California Screamin is also fun. Indiana Jones, the Haunted Mansion, etc.

You can't go wrong, you should check them all out!
