They can as they do have the right pieces. They have a solid starting rotation and bullpen. They have some really good rookies. Now what they need is to get some consistent offense and start cutting back on the errors, it's what's hurting them the most. Vlad needs to get out of his slump. Perhaps they can bring up Howie Kendrick (he's batting some where in the .400 range) from down in AAA and replace Kennedy. Kendrick is going to be the 2nd baseman next season so why not bring him up now. Plus they need to set a consistent lineup, it seems like everyday is a different lineup.

The Angels need to make some moves and stop relying on "old talent" Try to trade Adam Kennedy. He's in a contract year, plus they have Howwie Kendrick. Cut Darin Erstad! or see if anyone is dumb enough to trade for him. They need a bat or two. Jared Weaver needs to be in the starting rotation. You don't send a 4-0 rookie down with an ERA under 2 back to the minors. Try to get Carlos Lee from the Brewers.

I hope not-- I am a Texas Rangers fan.
But... If Colon comes back strong they have to be better- they are a better team than they have shown so far, and nobody is taking command of the western division.
I'd be surprised if they didn't at least finish with 85-90 wins.
