It's probably already too late. Even if everyone in the world cut back by half their energy consumption starting today, it wouldn't be enough. And as you can see from some of the replies you got - that ain't gonna happen. We can only hope that we haven't pushed the Earth past the point where the pendulum can swing back the other way. Damn the Industrial Revolution! For the people who don't believe it - think about how we all heat our houses and offices every day. Think about how that warms up the atmosphere!

After George Bush pisses of the Koreans enough, we'll have another nuclear war. Maybe the nuclear winter will balance out the global warming - but of course, we'd be screwed anyway since no food could grow. Maybe it's about time for the glow-in-the-dark cockroaches to take over. We've sure done a lousy job of managing the resources!

Anyone who thinks this is just part of a weather cycle as not done their homework. As far as they can till so far there as been cold cycles but thing that as warmed up the earth this much. What is scary is that if enough of the ice caps thaw it can throw us into a ice age. It as happen once before, was called the little ice age the history channel runs a show on it from time to time. The warming of the earth can cause super storms that well make the ones in recent past like like a walk in park. Pull your heads out of the sand. Only those scinecneist siding with big money say there is nothing to worry about

I love Al Gore. He was the Education Secretary in Tennessee, when I was growing up there. I have a tremendous respect for him, besides being a "staunch Democrat." I will definitely see the movie, if it plays at the Loew's Theatre Tuesday afternoon "Mommy and Me" movie hour. They allow mom's to bring their babies. It makes for a screaming, poopy, peeing, howling good time. I also plan on buying the book. I hear it's a great and easy read, as well as being very informative. It's good to see Al Gore in the spotlight again.

Please tell me that you have paid attention to history. The weather cycle has always been changing and if anyone thinks that they can keep the weather cycle from changing they are absolutely crazy! Have you ever heard of the Ice Age, etc? It will change no matter what we do. Get used to it! Also, Al Gore needs to grow his beard back and go back to the hills of Tennessee and have another nervous breakdown!
