Start by spelling it "brakes" and not "breaks". Then take it to a mechanic. If they're smoking then the pads are probably gone and if he didn't know enough to stop driving it when they started smoking then he shouldn't try to fix them himself.

First, if you have a lot of breaks, you might need a welder to fix them.
If you are talking about the things that stop your car when it's rolling, that's spelled b-r-a-k-e-s. Brakes. As in brake=to stop.
BrEAk = smash, shatter, crush, rip, tear.

Those are brakes, not breaks. I will not give you a break by telling you how to fix your brakes. Take it to a competent mechanic.

sounds like someone drove the car with the emergency brake on, and all the brake caliper pistons froze up,. in that case you have to replace them all

he blew his calipers. tell him to go to autozone and pick up ne rotars, pads, calipers, and a bottle of brake fluid. also pick up a copy of his cars repair manual. hes all set to fix em.
