i have been bit by a petsmart snake, it thought my hand was a mouse so it striked at my hand. my dad caught a skink before i asked if i could hang on to it, it bit my thumb, i tried to shake it off it woulden't stop biting me!!!

Both. The snake i got bit by was a blackracer so it wasn't poisonous. I have gotten bit by a skink once and one time my brother told me to close and eyes and hold out my hand and he let a freaking lizard bite my thumb and it wouldn't let go! Like you,I started trying to shake it off and it wouldn't let go. So we had to pry its jaws off my thumb. And it really hurt too.

yes I have been bit by a number of snakes like baby and adult corn snakes. I have also been bit by a 8 foot red-tail boa that was the worst, bled like mad. I had a few Tokay geckos they give you a fine bite, hurts like heck and they don't let go. If a turtle or gecko ever latches on stick a small broom straw or such up their nostril and they will let go. Remember that snakes like constrictors have teeth that curve back and you have to push further in the mouth if they latch on to get loose if not it will rip you good.

I've been bitten by a variety of things:
- Garter, bull, fox, black rat, and racer snakes
- Skinks and few other kinds of lizards
- various turtles
- rats, gerbils, guinea pigs
- dogs, cats
- siblings
As far as snakes go- they are probably the least painful or damaging of them all!

Ive been bit by red tail boas. One of mine, a 3 footer named Conan, will occasionally go psycho, he does 4 or 5 consecutive defensive bites. Bleeds alot but doesnt really hurt. Both of my 2 footers have also bitten me ... both times while I was explaining to snake haters that they are nice, gentle, and seldom bite.
My worst bite was a dog bite ... 103 stitches on the outside of my cheek and 58 inside my cheek, another 30 across the rest of my face.
The most painful bite was a rat. It ripped a dime sized chunk out of my middle finger.
The funniest bites are hopper mice ... they try like mad to "bite you good", but their teeth arent long enough.

i have been bit by a snake only once andf that was when i was young,ever since i know how to handle snakes, hell im in school to earn a degree in herpatology (study of reptiles and some amphibians)

i took a bite to the face by my 5ft. blood python and got bit on the hand by my blue tongue skink.
