What do you consider to be helpful to another - is it defined as something you need, or is it what the other needs?

i am trying to help teach a person to read and wright.......

I am a checker in a big chain grocery store and if someone is a little short (like under a couple dollars) I give them the money if I have it, with the exception for alcohol and tabacco. And in return I ask them to do a good dead for someone.

I work with students with disabilities, that's how I help.

It is defined as what they need. Helping someone else should always be a selfless act where you get nothing in return.

well this week is our county fair ,my family and I will be volunteering at the American Legion concession stand. The money that we make goes to help vets. and their families what ever the need may be.
