What is wrong with you??? I am not a woman and I just took a look in my three closets. I currently have about 73 pair of shoes and have decided to go and buy some more. I only wear one pair a day and then switch off so they last almost forever. They don't get wet or pounded down. I also like to match my footwear to my clothes. When I go to eat sauerkraut I wear a pair of East German Borderguard Jackboots I have; and the list goes on. Not everybody likes to have one lousey pair of smelly shoes unless they have a brain the size of a mosquito's.

Women have a more varied wardrobe than men do. Whereas men are typically either dressed-up in a suit or dressed-down in jeans and a t-shirt, women's outfits range from dressy being a dress, skirt, slacks to casual which could be shorts, capris, jeans, mini-skirts, etc. With so many fashion choices, it only makes sense to have shoes appropriate to each outfit. (And of course many different colors of shoes are needed so that everything matches... something most men don't concern themselves with.)

I own 3 pairs is all. Hiking shoes, that I wear all the time, sandles in the summer, and work shoes.

Because each pair is for a different look for different occasions. Much like men and their ties. Yes, we DO wear them all!

For the same reason men pass gas when they are standing right beside us, at the table, and when they walk into the bedroom, right after leaving the bathroom!!!!! Because we do!!!
And yes, I do wear all of my shoes, sometimes.
And they are there when I want them, and that is important.

Besides everything that everyone else said...which are all very true by the way. we need them for all of the different jobs we do that most men don't. Like taxi driver, cleaning lady, waitress, chef,doctor, nurse,shopper,etc. get the idea? And that is just for the morning!

Well I NEED my tennies when I'm tromping around outside. I NEED my work shoes. I NEED my cute red sandles. I NEED my sharp burgandy buckle shoes. I NEED the black pair of boots (Just incase the occasion might arrise that I NEED them.)
They are all NEEDS. LMAO!
