If you call or go online to book a Vegas Hotel you will need a credit card. They will charge ONE (1) night's room rate to the card. If you cancel before the 24 or 48 hour mark (whatever the hotel requires) you can get a refund of your deposit.

If you are a player's club member, some hotels will accept that as confirmation of your arrival.

If you book your room online or over the phone they ask for one nights payment and the rest upon arrival or check-out. I have never paid up front for the whole stay except when I book through a place like Worry Free Vacations or Expedia for the whole package.

I think all the hotels require one night payment in advance, but if you cancel within a certain timeframe, that is refundable.
