It depends on what you mean by "angry". Many parents (especially if they have several children of the same sex) are hoping for one sex over the other. But once the baby is born, they usually get over any disappointment in *seconds*. (Ask me how I know--my first 4 were all boys!!) I hope this is true of your relatives.
If you have reason to think that there is something seriously wrong with their relationship with the baby, please talk to them. Then you'll know better where to go from there...

Well the first thing is that the man choses the sex so it is his fault. And there are many people out there who would take a baby no matter what the sex. And they should just be glad they had a healty baby. And if this is the first child there is always a chance to have more. I had a boy then a girl as did many of my friends so i know it can happen. And i would definalty watch just to see if they build up resentment towards the child then you should be worried especailly with the mother because of post partum depression.

Ok, I think they need to grow up a little bit. Sounds like the baby is more mature than they are. If I was having a baby, I wouldn't care what sex it was, as long as it was healthy. I think if they're mad they have a baby boy, keep a close eye on the situation to make sure the baby isn't abused. If so, turn them in. I know they're relatives, but you're talking about a helpless baby.

You know what sounds like they need to grow up a little and be thankful that they have a healthy little one .. thats all that matters.. Just remind them that are plenty of people out there who would love to have children and cannot and wouldnt be angry over what sex they were given! Hopefully they still show this poor little innocent child the same amount of love even though it wasnt what they wanted!

Yes, they should be over that by now. There is a lot worse that could have happened besides the sex of the baby not being what they wanted. It just wasn't meant for it to be a girl right now. Maybe next time...

Wow I was just happy that my girls were healthy...I would watch them. To be angry the baby wasn't the right sex is odd and I feel bad for that baby because they will more then likely be less then attentive and if they have another one and it is a girl they will probably push him to the side. that poor poor baby :*(

If it's real anger to where they don't want to take care of the baby or feel that it's a burden on them, then you should be concerned.

That is soooooooooo sad! There so many people out there that can't have children and these two are upset because they did not get a little girl. They should be grateful for what they have.

It's only a concern if they take out their anger and physically hurt (or neglect) this child. If you suspect that this is the case, please call the local Family Services division in the state that the child legally resides in.
